Awful Dogs!

Hi Friends!

First of all - it's Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday, which means weekend!!!

Any-who-sies, the other day I stopped by LWN's house for a quick visit before dinner and came upon this kodak moment...

JJ and Jackson

Our two dogs were just casually lounging on the dining room table.  They are the worst - if there is a morcel of food lying around, Jackson (brown hair) will sniff it out.  If JJ (white hair) get the slightest bit annoyed, he will bark mercilessly.  If you're mad at JJ, he will sense it and lay on his back looking at you to rub his tummy.  Jackson, however, begs for your attention, then the second you lean down to pet him, he backs away, then he begs for attention.  It's a never ending cycle, and it's damn annoying.

As much as I can't stand them, I guess they were right when they said that thing about puppy dog eyes - they are irresistable...

Workplace Rambling

So ove the past few days here are some conversations I had at work:

Monday-

DH: I'm engaged!

Me: (like an old jewish lady) OH MY GAWDDDDD!!!! (I love a wedding)

DH: I'm so excited

Me: (with tears streaming down my face) This is so exciting, I'm so happy for you.  Now let's start planning my your luncheon!!!

Biggest News Ever!

Today's biggest news in my office is something so important, and amazing, we are just thrilled.  And it has nothing to do with Bin Laden...My Coworker/Boss DH is engaged!!!  Now I can finally throw someone in my life a god-damned engagement lunch...

Weekend Roundup

Hi Friends!

As promised, each Monday, I will giving a quick roundup of my weekend. 

Friday night and Saturday day was spent doing one amazing thing: SLEEP!!  There really is nothing that I love more than just laying in bed all weekend and napping in between zoning out to the TV.

Saturday night was a bit more exciting, but not my much...I went to LWN's house to watch a movie on her big fancy TV - MEM joined and we ended up watching reruns of Modern Family...so funny!

"And you broke the flute.  Break the flute Jay, break the flute!"

Sunday proved to be a bit more exiting.  I had a delicious lunch at Yard House with LPT.  As previously mentioned, meals with LPT are filled with typical naughty conversations.

Our conversations also tend to include me generously imparting my (unsolicited) wisdom on LPT.  I image this has always annoys her, because she allows me to start imparting right as the food is being served, which today is Mac & Cheese - my fav!

Exciting convo from lunch:

Me: I have got to find a new apartment soon...
LPT: We should live together, I'm ready to move out.
Me: I dunno, I don't think you can handle living with me.
LPT: Okay.

(5 minutues later...)

Me: Okay, let's do it.  Let's live together.
LPT: YAY!!!!!!

After lunch, headed over to buy a modem, router, cable splitter and two cables to set up internet.  I felt dirty when I left Best Buy, as I said it is like the devil's toilet - aka - the worst.  Got home, set it up and watched my stories.

Sorry Sorry Sorry

Hi Friends!

I am so so sorry about the lack of posts!! I had an internet catastrophe - it went out.  Well it didn't really go out, but more like the neighbor I was stealing internet from moved leaving me without access to the world wide web for days.  I felt so disconnected to everything, but took care of internet problem.  Had to buy a bunch of thingys from Best Buy* and now I pay for my own internet. 

Problem solved...

*Best Buy = devil's toilet bowl...its the worst.

Smart, Creepy or Both?

A few month's back, right around the holidays, I picked up some ice cream at the local shop (it is delicious).

Whip-N-Dip=delicioso!

  While waiting in line, I was looking on the bulletin board and came across this little gem...

"Free December 11th?! Christmas Formal Dates Wanted"

My first response was to laugh.  I mean, who would really post that out in public, with their phone number, none the less.  It's just ludicrous.  Then I thought, its kind of sad...who is that desperate for a date that they are advertising at Whip-N-Dip? 

Then it dawned on me.  Yes, it's funny because some kids posted that.  AND Yes, it's sad because joking or not, they must have been slightly serious in looking for a date.  But above it all, the creepy person in the equasion is the person who responds...

Ugh, children...

Weekend Roundup!

Hi Friends!

Happy Monday...This past weekend was Easter which means 1 thing - family and food.  Okay, so that's 2 things, but hey who's counting.  My weekend started a bit early because my boss at BB gave us Good Friday off.  But that's not all - he gave us a half day on Thursday and we got to come to work at noon today, Monday.  Jealous? You should be.

So, after work on Thursday, I headed over to my mom's (LWN) house for some good ole' fashion bonding time.  Our conversation consisted of this:  

Me: Mom, wanna go to lunch?

Mom: Sure.  How about Nordstroms?

Me: Delicious, and I also need some new shoes, so can you buy those for me too?

Mom: *Fine.

*Fine = less than enthusiastic

As we lunched and shopped, we discussed my little sister's (MSN) plans to build a school in Haiti.  She is a 17 year old HS Junior and has raised enough money to build said school.  Pretty incredible.  I decided that I'm going to do my part to support MSN and of course, Haiti.  

Casual night at home since all my really cool friends had to work on Friday - sucked for them!

Friday was extra fun - my cousin GLB was in town from LA, so we had lunch at Whisk.  A stranger said that she was a hot babe and that I was lucky to be hitting that...I explained that we were cousins...he didn't seem impressed with my response. 

Had dinner with LPT in the Grove.  Dinner with LPT typically includes a lot of fun stories.  This dinner included tales of our parents busting us while being rebellious teenagers.  

Saturday was also an extra special day because my cousin CBB and his wife CIB had a baby only 4 days earlier.  Baby ALB is an angel.  I spent the day visiting with them and got to see their adorable son JSB (almost 2)  and he is the cutest thing to ever walk the earth.  Lots of fun and games with him!

MEM and I went up to Ft. Lauderdale to see Wicked - and while I've seen it on B'Way, it was entertaining.  Unfortunately there was a wailing child across from us.  FYI - not a fan of children who are not in my family.

Sunday - Easter!!!  Easter is my favorite holiday for a number of reasons, mainly for the Easter Baskets.  LWN has always done exceptionally well when it comes to those.  This year, was no exception - lots of candy!  Went to a quick Mass then brunch at Daniel Boulud's restaurant=delicious.  Had a yummy croque monsieur.  Then zipped off to give my godson (GFV) and his brother (KFV) their easter gifts.  Nothing special, but they loved the gifts none the less.  Spent the rest of the day at a BBQ with some old friends and some new ones.  

That was my weekend - and for the record, most posts will not be this long, just had an unusually busy weekend!
